When someone in the department of public safety decided to create the neighborhood signs pictured below, did they have any notion of how insulting it might be?
I’d like to know what ubiquitous signs other people have seen that have an unintended meaning.

The two that I like are the Hump signs for those stupid speed bumps they put on streets now and the Caution Dip Drive Slowly that used to be at 7-Eleven on 21st and State.
Speaking of speed bumps–when 4 were installed on a street in our neighborhood, the signs erected next to them read “SPEED HUMP”. Apparently, someone found the notion offensive, because they were promptly replaced with signs reading “Speed Bump”.
I just wish I had taken a picture before they were changed to the less risqué version… 🙂
I guess they didn’t like the concept of a quickie … 🙂
