I was reading the Jordan School District’s newsletter, which they call Windows. There is a copy of this month’s edition online. The PDF looks exactly like the paper copy I have in front of me.

On the very lower left corner of page 3 is a paragraph that made me laugh. There is a school named South Park Academy in my district … and as if that wasn’t enough, they will have their high school graduation ceremony at the Utah State Prison.

I did a little online research about this school trying to find out more about it. Apparently it is a “Special Programs” school. In 2003, there were 29 students and 2 teachers. I didn’t see any statistics for any other year.
