The realities of software packaging have bumped up against my ideals. I will be installing CentOS 4.4 on a machine at work because OpenNMS is very slow to release Debian packages of new versions.

mmm. free newbhat. I’ve contemplated installing it on a server at work to appease my corporate overlords in their desire to have their group of monkeys try to manage it. So far, I haven’t complied. 🙂
